.: Final Fantasy XII - Ivalice's History

When you kill beasts in Final Fantasy XII, their information is added to the Beatiary in your Clan Primer. Kill enough, and additional information about the history of places, people, great events and tales are revealed. This page contains all those texts.

The Annals (#1) [From enemy: Banshee]
It is recorded in the chronicles that the fearsome army led by Mad King Dorneus was a legion of zombies, such as has never been seen before or since. Though the neighboring lands prepared for it, the war they feared never came, for in the space of a night, the king, his army, and all the people of his land disappeared, leaving naught behind them but ruins and swirling zombie powder.

The circumstance of their passing is a mystery never like to be explained.

The Annals (#1) [From enemy: Mythril Golem]
In the deepest reaches of the past, an underground kingdom there was, and here did they make the metal known as mythril, a metal so strong that even magma cannot mar it.

The flame gigas saw this and were displaesed, and so did they launch a grand assault on the kingdom under the earth.

At the end of a long, brutal war, the gigas were defeated, yet the kingdom, too, fell into ruin, sinking deeper still beneath the surface, away from the light, and into obscurity until it and its prized mythril were discovered by adventurers centuries later.
